Department of Biochemistry
Exploring the molecular interplay of life.
The Department of Biochemistry at Dr. RMLIMS serves as a cornerstone for exceptional patient care, driven by a core commitment to three pillars: advanced diagnostics, impactful research, and quality medical education. To fulfil our diagnostic mission, our department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by highly qualified professionals. By ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of test results, it guarantees the effectiveness of diagnosis and treatment planning.
Our turnaround time (TAT) has been reported well above 95% within three hours for all routine parameters, while certain critical tests like high-sensitivity troponin (hs-TnT) are provided within one hour to emergency patients. The clinical lab operates as a NABH accredited centre and plays a pivotal role in supporting clinicians across a wide range of health issues.
Our Mission
To provide high-end diagnostic solutions and to enhance health research for a better understanding of disease to encounter real clinical scenarios, and to replicate this knowledge among students. We are committed to a tripartite mission focused on service, education, and innovation.
Our Vision
To be a leading centre of excellence devoted to innovation, discovery, and the continual enhancement of human life. Key goals include advancing healthcare, scientific leadership, nurturing future healthcare experts, and establishing the department as a cornerstone of diagnostic healthcare.
