Since its establishment in 2011, the department has grown into a premier tertiary care cardiac center in Uttar Pradesh. It specializes in a high volume of interventional procedures, including complex coronary angioplasties and valvotomies. In 2013, the department received MCI permission to start the DM Cardiology course.

Key Expertise: Interventional Cardiology, Structural Heart Disease, and Pediatric Cardiology.

Academic Activities

The department actively organizes CTO Workshops and Congenital Heart Disease Workshops (notably in 2015 & 2016) and frequently publishes in national and international journals.

Infrastructure & Specialized Equipment

  • Siemens Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory: One Digital Flat Panel system.
  • Imaging & Guidance: "State of the art" OCT, FFR ILUMIEN system, and Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS).
  • Mechanical Support: IABP systems and Rotablator.
  • Advanced Echocardiography: Three ECHO machines including latest Philips IE 33 X-matrix system.
  • Sterilization: Separate ETO sterilization unit within the department.
  • ICCU: 20-bedded unit with advanced cardiac monitors and defibrillators.
