Program Outcomes (POs)
Program Outcomes (POs) represent broad statements encompassing interrelated knowledge and skills. Upon completion of three years of training, residents are expected to achieve:

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
MS Orthopaedics postgraduates will demonstrate the following specific competencies:
PSO 1: Applied Basic Sciences Competency
Apply in-depth understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, microbiology, pharmacology and biomechanics to manage disorders.
PSO 2: Trauma and Emergency Management
Independently assess polytrauma and spinal injuries in accordance with ATLS, DCO, and ETC principles.
PSO 3: Surgical Proficiency
Safely perform fracture fixation, dislocations, arthrodesis, and assist in arthroplasty and arthroscopic surgeries.
PSO 4: Management of Orthopaedic Diseases
Evidence-based treatment for congenital, metabolic, degenerative, infectious, neoplastic, and neuromuscular conditions.
PSO 5: Subspecialty Exposure
Manage spine disorders, sports injuries, oncology, and pediatric orthopaedics with appropriate referral judgement.
PSO 6: Rehabilitation and Holistic Care
Plan rehabilitation strategies involving prosthetics, orthotics, and physiotherapy for functional restoration.
PSO 7: Research and Evidence-Based Practice
Interpret scientific literature, conduct clinical research, and contribute to academic publications.
PSO 8: Professionalism and Ethics
Demonstrate ethical practice, effective communication, and proper informed consent procedures.
PSO 9: Health Systems and Community Orientation
Deliver cost-effective care and contribute to disaster management and community-based services.
